Channel 14 is a Federal Communication Commission (FCC), licensed television station. Becoming an underwriter helps contribute toward the continuation of this student-run program. An underwriting spot is an announcement made on a public broadcasting station (PBS) in exchange for funding. These spots usually mention the name of the sponsor and can resemble traditional television advertisements in commercial broadcasting, but our license prohibits this station from making product claims, pricing or incentive to buy a product or service.
